  • U100 Sampler

    This equipment is designed for obtaining undisturbed samples in most soils and some weak rocks such as Chalk and Marl. The sampler produces a nominal 100 mm (4") diameter soil core, approximately 450 mm (18") long. A Drive Head (or Bell Housing) fits between the Sliding Hammer and the Sample Tube and contains an "overdrive space" and a ball valve. The ball valve allows air to be released as the tube is driven into the ground.

    The Lugeon test, sometimes call also Packer test, is an in-situ testing method widely used to estimate the avarage hydraulic conductivity of rock mass. It is indeed In situ test of formation permeability performed by measuring the volume of water taken in a section of test hole when the interval is pressurized at given pressure (10 bars -150 psi). It is used primarily in variably permeable formations under evaluation of fracturating .
